Alloy wheel repair, straightening and refinishing in Los Angeles
Every service below is performed on site by a mobile unit that comes to your home, office, lot or shop. No drop-off, no loaner, no waiting on a wheel to come back from an off-site refinisher.
Alloy wheel repair
Curb rash is the damage almost every LA driver eventually collects — a tight parking structure, a blind valet lane, a curb that sat higher than it looked. The wheel face gets gouged, the edge gets flattened, and the car suddenly looks neglected from ten feet away.
We cut the damaged material back, reprofile the affected edge and face, then refinish to the original factory color. The result is a wheel that reads original, not repaired. Most single-wheel jobs are completed in one visit.
Best for: curb rash, gouges, scrapes, scuffed lips and faces, cosmetic damage from parking and valet incidents.
What the visit involves
- Damage assessed and confirmed repairable
- Damaged material cut back and reprofiled
- Surface prepped for finish adhesion
- Factory-match finish applied and cured on site
- Wheel walked with you before payment
Wheel and rim straightening
Bent rims usually announce themselves before you see them: a steering shimmy that appears above 45 mph, a tire that loses a few pounds a week, or a wheel that won't hold a balance no matter how many weights go on it.
We true and straighten bent, buckled and out-of-round alloy wheels on site, bringing the wheel back toward specification so it seats properly at the bead and balances again. Where a wheel is too far gone to be safe, we say so and recommend replacement instead — that is not a call we soften to keep an invoice.
Best for: pothole damage, impact damage, vibration at speed, slow bead leaks, wheels that won't balance.
Signs you have a bent wheel
- Steering wheel shimmy that worsens with speed
- One tire consistently losing pressure
- Visible flat spot or wave on the rim edge
- Tire shop can't balance the wheel
- Vibration that appeared right after a pothole
Wheel refinishing and color matching
Southern California is hard on wheel finishes. Sun, heat, brake dust and aggressive wheel cleaners lift clear coat off alloy faces, leaving a chalky, blotchy surface that no amount of washing fixes. A single replaced wheel that doesn't match the other three has the same effect for a different reason.
We strip, prep and refinish wheels with over 40 factory-match finishes covering most domestic, import and luxury applications — silver, hyper silver, machined face, gunmetal, charcoal, gloss and satin black, and bronze. Refinish one wheel to match a set, or refinish all four to a common color.
Best for: clear-coat peel, oxidation, chalky faces, mismatched replacement wheels, full four-wheel refresh before sale.
Finishes we stock
- Silver and hyper silver
- Machined and diamond-cut face
- Gunmetal and charcoal
- Gloss black and satin black
- Bronze and specialty factory colors
- 40+ total factory-match options on the truck
Paint-free dent removal
Not every dent needs a body shop. Where the paint is unbroken and the metal hasn't stretched, a dent can be worked back out from behind the panel — no filler, no primer, no booth, and no repaint that a future buyer's paint meter will find.
We perform paint-free dent removal on the same mobile visit as wheel work, which is why dealers and fleets book both together. Door dings, cart hits, lot rash and hail dimples all come out this way.
Not suitable for: cracked or chipped paint, sharp creases, stretched metal, or damage over a previous repair. We'll tell you at assessment.
Why paint-free matters
- Original factory paint is preserved
- No color-match risk on adjacent panels
- No repaint disclosure on the vehicle history
- Faster and cheaper than conventional body work
- Done in your driveway or on your lot
