Curb rash repair
Gouges, scuffs and scrapes on the wheel face and edge cut back, reprofiled and refinished so the wheel stops drawing the eye. The most common repair we do, and usually a single visit.
Wheel refinishing
Peeling clear coat, oxidation and chalky faces stripped and refinished. We work in silver, hyper silver, machined face, gunmetal, charcoal, gloss and satin black, and bronze.
Color matching
One replacement wheel that doesn't match the other three is a visible defect. We bring it in line with the set, matching the factory color as closely as possible, or refinish all four to one color.

We come to the car

Repaired, refinished, cured, done
The damage is corrected, the finish is matched as closely as possible to the factory color and cured on site, and we walk the wheels with you before we take payment.
One curbed wheel, no shop visit
Most of our retail work starts the same way: a tight parking structure, an unfamiliar curb, and a rim that now looks worse than the rest of the car. Replacing a wheel is expensive, and for cosmetic curb damage it's rarely necessary.
We meet you where the car already is, repair it while you work, and refinish it to match the factory color as closely as possible.

Before you call
Can a curbed wheel be repaired, or do I need a new one?
Curb rash is cosmetic damage to the face and edge of the wheel, and in most cases it can be corrected. We cut the damaged material back, reprofile the area and refinish it. We assess the wheel before starting and tell you if it isn't something we can correct.
Do I have to bring the car anywhere?
No. Ace Auto Recon is 100% mobile. We come to your home, office, apartment garage, dealership, body shop or storage lot anywhere in Los Angeles County. We need a parking space beside the vehicle and nothing else.
How long does mobile wheel repair take?
Most single-wheel repairs are finished in one visit, and same-day service is available across most of Los Angeles County depending on the day's route. Refinishing a full set takes longer — we'll give you the time estimate when we quote.
Will the repaired wheel match my other three?
That's the goal of the job. We work in a wide range of factory finishes and match the color as closely as possible. On some applications an exact match isn't achievable, and we'll tell you that when we assess the wheel rather than after the work.
I'm turning in a lease. Should I repair the wheels first?
Usually it's worth pricing. Excess wear-and-tear charges for damaged rims are often set well above what a cosmetic repair costs. Get a quote before your pre-inspection so you can compare the two numbers.
