Wheel repair for the people who move cars for a living
Ace Auto Recon runs a mobile alloy wheel shop that comes to your lot, your bay, your storage yard or your customer's driveway anywhere in Los Angeles County. Curb rash, bends, cracks, peeling clear coat, mismatched finishes — repaired on site, usually same day, at trade pricing that beats sending wheels out.
A wheel that never leaves the property can't slow the sale down
The car stays on the lot
No crating, no courier, no three-day round trip to an off-site refinisher. Our truck arrives with the lathe, the compressor, the paint and the curing gear. The vehicle stays in your inventory, front-line ready, and keeps its spot in the row.
Repair instead of replace
A single OEM alloy can run several hundred to well over a thousand dollars. Repairing curb rash, a bent lip or a scuffed face is a fraction of that, and on a four-wheel set the difference is usually the entire recon margin on the unit.
Finishes that actually match
We stock over 40 factory finishes — silver, hyper silver, gunmetal, machined face, gloss and satin black, charcoal, bronze. The repaired wheel matches the other three, so nobody has to explain a mismatch on the walk-around.
Volume pricing, one invoice
Trade accounts get discounted per-wheel rates that step down with volume. Batch a row of units into one visit and bill it as a single job instead of chasing five separate tickets through accounting.
Wheels and dents in one stop
We also do paint-free dent removal. Door dings, hail dimples, lot rash and cart damage come out without filler, primer or a booth — so a unit can be wheel-corrected and dent-corrected in the same visit.
Documented, guaranteed work
Every job is written up per wheel with the damage type and finish used. On lease-return work we guarantee the areas we repair pass inspection or we refund the repair — the same guarantee we give retail customers.
From your call to a finished row
You send the damage over
Call (818) 497-8199 or text photos of the wheels with the stock numbers. Face shot plus a close-up of the damage is enough for us to quote most wheels without a site visit.
We quote per wheel and schedule
You get a per-wheel price and a window. Trade accounts get priority scheduling, and we batch multiple units into one visit so the truck isn't billing you for repeat trips.
The truck comes to you
We work in your lot, your bay, your back row or the customer's driveway. We need a parking space, and that's it — the unit doesn't move, doesn't go on a flatbed and doesn't leave your control.
Repair, refinish, cure, walk it
Damage is cut back, straightened or filled, refinished to the matching factory color and cured on site. We walk the finished units with your recon manager or service writer before we invoice.
One invoice, on your terms
Multiple units and multiple wheels come through on a single itemized invoice referenced to your stock or RO numbers. {{ACCOUNT_TERMS — e.g. Net 30 available for established accounts}}
Wheel repair for used car dealers and independent lots
On a used unit, the wheels are the first thing a buyer crouches down to look at and the last thing a trade appraiser writes down. A set of curbed alloys reads as "this car was not cared for," and that impression follows the walk-around all the way to the negotiation.
Ace Auto Recon reconditions alloy wheels on your lot at wholesale rates for repeat accounts. We repair curb rash, straighten bent rims, seal cracks where the wheel is safely repairable, and refinish the face to the original factory color. Most sets are corrected in a single visit, so a unit that came off a trade Monday can be front-line Tuesday.
We also handle paint-free dent removal on the same trip — door dings, lot rash and cart damage pulled without filler or paint. One vendor, one visit, one invoice against your recon budget.
Typical used-lot work
- Curb rash repair and face refinishing
- Straightening bent and out-of-round rims
- Clear-coat peel and oxidation correction
- Matching one replacement wheel to the other three
- Full four-wheel refresh before front-lining
- Paint-free dent removal on the same visit
Alloy wheel repair for franchise dealerships
Franchise stores have wheel damage arriving from four directions at once: trade-ins headed for the used line, CPO units that have to meet a manufacturer standard, service customers who curbed a rim on the way in, and new inventory that picked up transport damage before it ever hit the lot.
We work all four. Our mobile unit sets up in your recon area, your service drive or the back row and repairs wheels where they sit — no wheel shipping, no loaner car burned while a rim is out for three days, no CPO unit sitting on hold waiting for a replacement alloy to arrive.
With more than 40 factory finishes on the truck, we match OEM colors across most domestic, import and luxury lines, so a repaired wheel doesn't read as repaired on the delivery walk-around.
Where we plug in
- Trade-in recon before the used line
- CPO wheel correction to program standards
- Service-drive wheel repair as an add-on RO line
- Transport and lot damage on new inventory
- Sublet overflow when your recon queue backs up
- Wheel work quoted against your stock or RO number
Outsourced wheel repair for auto body shops
Wheel work is the line item that quietly wrecks cycle time. A collision estimate that includes two damaged alloys means either ordering replacements and waiting on parts, or sending wheels out and holding the vehicle in a stall it isn't earning in.
Ace Auto Recon is the sublet that comes to you. We pull into your lot and repair the wheels while the rest of the job moves through your process, which keeps the vehicle on your schedule instead of a vendor's. Bulk pricing applies to shops running steady volume.
We handle punctured, cracked, buckled and dented rims and refinish wheels to showroom appearance. Where a wheel isn't safely repairable, we tell you that up front rather than sending it back marginal — that call is yours to make with the carrier, and you should get it early enough to still order a part.
Why shops sublet to Ace
- Wheels repaired in your lot — no stall tied up
- Cycle time protected on wheel-inclusive estimates
- Bulk rates for steady-volume shops
- Straight answer when a wheel is not repairable
- Refinishing to factory appearance for supplement photos
- Serving LA County and San Gabriel Valley shops
Wheel repair that lowers claim severity
Replacing an OEM alloy is one of the easiest severity adds on a collision or comprehensive claim, and on some luxury and performance applications a single wheel carries a four-figure parts number. Repair, where the wheel is structurally sound, comes in well under replacement and takes the parts-delay argument off the table.
Ace Auto Recon works with carriers and claims operations on special repeat-business rates. Because we are fully mobile, we can meet the vehicle at the insured's home, their office, the shop handling the claim, or your affiliated dealership or service center — which shortens rental days as well as repair days.
More than 40 factory-quality finishes mean the repaired wheel matches the rest of the set, so the insured signs off on appearance instead of opening a supplement over a mismatch.
What carriers get
- Repair-versus-replace pricing on alloy wheels
- Mobile response to insured, shop or affiliated dealer
- Reduced rental days on wheel-driven delays
- Factory-match finish to prevent appearance supplements
- Repeat-business rates for claims volume
- Coverage across LA County and the Inland Empire
Keep rental and fleet vehicles looking rented, not returned
Rental fleets take curb damage faster than anything else on the road. Every renter is unfamiliar with the vehicle, parking is tight, and the wheels absorb all of it. Left alone, that damage compounds across the holding period and shows up again at remarketing, where it comes straight out of resale.
Ace Auto Recon offers business-to-business pricing for rental car lots, agencies and commercial fleets. We come to your lot on a schedule that fits your turn cycle and work through units in batches — wheels repaired, refinished and straightened, plus paint-free dent removal on body panels, so vehicles go back out looking like they should.
Fix it during the holding period and it costs a repair. Fix it at auction time and it costs the repair plus whatever the condition report already took off the number.
Fleet program
- Scheduled recurring lot visits
- Batch pricing across multiple units
- Curb rash, bends and refinishing
- Paint-free dent removal on body panels
- Pre-remarketing condition passes
- B2B rates for agencies and commercial fleets
What we repair on a trade unit
Not every wheel is repairable, and we will tell you which is which before we start. Here is the honest map.
Curb rash & scuffs
The most common damage on lot and lease units. The gouged area is cut back, filled where needed, reprofiled and refinished to the factory color. Routine, fast, and usually the highest-value repair per dollar you'll buy.
Bent & buckled rims
Pothole and impact damage that shows up as a vibration or a slow leak at the bead. We straighten and true the wheel back toward spec on site. Severe structural deformation gets flagged for replacement instead.
Cracks & punctures
Repairable in some locations and materials, and not in others. We assess where the crack sits relative to the load path and tell you plainly whether it can be repaired or needs to be replaced. Safety decides that, not the invoice.
Clear-coat peel & oxidation
Southern California sun and wheel cleaner chemistry lift clear coat off alloy faces. We strip, prep and refinish so the set reads uniform instead of blotchy under lot lighting.
Finish mismatch
One replaced wheel that doesn't match the other three is a visible defect on the walk-around. With 40+ finishes stocked we bring the odd wheel back in line with the set, or refinish all four to a common color.
Paint-free dent removal
Not a wheel service, but it rides along on the same visit. Door dings, lot rash, cart hits and hail dimples massaged out without filler, primer or a paint booth, so the factory finish stays factory.

Questions dealers and shops ask first
Do you actually come to the lot, or do wheels have to be shipped?
We come to you. Ace Auto Recon is a 100% mobile operation — the equipment, the finishes and the curing gear travel on the truck. We work in your lot, your service drive, your body shop's parking area or a customer's driveway. Nothing gets crated and nothing leaves your property.
How long does a wheel repair take?
Most single-wheel curb rash repairs are completed in a single visit, and we offer same-day service across most of Los Angeles County depending on the day's route. Multi-unit batches are scheduled as one visit so the truck isn't making repeat trips at your expense.
Can you match the factory finish on my inventory?
In most cases, yes. We carry over 40 factory-match finishes covering silver, hyper silver, machined face, gunmetal, charcoal, gloss and satin black, and bronze across common domestic, import and luxury applications. The goal is that the repaired wheel is indistinguishable from the other three on a walk-around.
Which wheels can't be repaired?
Structural damage decides it. Severe buckling, cracks in high-load areas, and wheels that have lost material where the load path runs are replacement candidates, not repair candidates. We assess before we start and tell you up front so you still have time to order a part rather than finding out late.
Do you offer trade pricing, and how does it work?
Yes. Used car lots, franchise dealerships, auto body shops, insurance carriers and rental or commercial fleets all get discounted per-wheel rates for repeat business, with rates stepping down as volume increases. Multi-unit visits come through on a single itemized invoice referenced to your stock or RO numbers.
Do you do dent repair too, or only wheels?
Both. We perform paint-free dent removal alongside wheel work — door dings, lot rash, cart damage and similar dents pulled without filler, primer or paint. Booking both on one visit is normally cheaper and faster than routing a unit through two vendors.
What is the guarantee on lease-return work?
We guarantee that the areas we repair will pass lease-return inspection, or we refund the cost of that repair. The guarantee covers what we worked on, not damage elsewhere on the vehicle.
How far do you travel?
Los Angeles County and the San Gabriel Valley are our core service area, and we extend into Inland Empire cities for trade accounts. Multi-unit jobs justify a longer run than single retail wheels, so call with the volume and the location and we'll tell you straight whether it works.
Send us a row and we'll price it
Fastest path is a phone call with the number of units and where they're sitting. If you'd rather send it in writing, use the form and include stock numbers and photos of the damage — most wheels can be quoted from photos alone.
